1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Aurelius, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Aurelius is an AI-powered Stoic accountability journal. The app provides AI-generated reflections based on your journal entries. All AI responses are generated by artificial intelligence and should not be considered professional advice.

3. Subscriptions

• Aurelius offers a single subscription. Its billing periods, current prices and any free trial are shown in the app before you subscribe and confirmed by Apple at purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, or when a free trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it does.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.

4. AI-Generated Content

Aurelius uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized responses. These responses are for personal reflection only and do not constitute medical, psychological, financial, or professional advice. You should not rely on AI-generated content for critical decisions.

5. Acceptable Use and Content Moderation

You agree not to use Aurelius to generate, request, or share content that is unlawful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, hateful, or that promotes self-harm or violence against others. AI output is moderated by server-side content filters and the model's safety prompt; nonetheless, AI systems can occasionally produce unintended responses.

Report a message: any AI message can be reported from within the app — long-press the message and tap Report. Reports are recorded server-side with the message content and reviewed by our team. We may, at our discretion, suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service, that repeatedly attempt to elicit prohibited content, or that report abusive content from other surfaces.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to reverse-engineer the AI system, or use the app for any unlawful purpose.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of Aurelius is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which lists the third-party AI providers your journal entries and messages are sent to, what each provider receives, retention periods, and how to withdraw consent. We do not sell your data.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. This permanently removes all your data.

9. Children

Aurelius is not directed at children under the age of 13 and is not intended for their use. We do not knowingly accept registrations from anyone under 13. If we learn that a user under 13 has created an account, we will delete the account and associated data.

10. Limitation of Liability

Aurelius is provided "as is." Sparboe Systems is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app or reliance on AI-generated content.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
